Today we are raising funding to build the 1st sewing skills and entrepreneurship training centre in Mitchell's Plain, and you can help. Many of us want a brighter future for our children, but the reality for the youth in Mitchell's Plain is harsh. The lack of job opportunities and the prevalence of drugs, alcohol, and abuse can make it difficult for young women to see a positive future. The Design26 Foundation aims to break this cycle by providing skills, work opportunities, and a positive outlook to young women in our community. With youth unemployment in South Africa at 51.4%, we need to take action now to support our youth.
