The Help Africa Foundation wants to contribute to structurally improving the living conditions of the very poorest in Africa in a sustainable and responsible way. We do this by providing aid to small-scale projects and helping to set them up. The projects focus on social work, healthcare and education.
In Kenya, the foundation supports aid to a large group of Turkana in Marigat. The aid consists of youth work, the appointment of a social worker and food distribution to the elderly. Over the years, the construction of several classrooms has been made possible. Also, annually 12 young people can follow a vocational training with our financial contribution.
In addition, we support the medical clinic in Marigat. We have made the construction of a maternity clinic possible here and solar panels have been funded so that the clinic always has power.
In the village of Mautuma in Kenya, the foundation supports a project where sewing courses are given to disadvantaged young women. A production unit has also been set up where several women can put their training into practice and generate their own income.
Because we are a small foundation, our work is manageable and communication lines are short. We know our project leaders well and have regular contact.
