Arise Restoration Centre is a haven for people that struggle with life controlling problems, people who need a second chance in life. We take people in from the street, and we give them a home, a family environment full of love and take care of all their needs. We walk an intimate road with each person to aid the long-term process of reintegrating them back into society. Our service offering brings relief to sex trafficking survivors, drug addicts, alcoholics and any person who needs a second chance in life.
We rescue abused and neglected horses and do outreach programs into community areas, and take feed, tack, basic medical supplies and treat the horses and educate the owners. We also bring in abused children and youth and victims of human trafficking to interact with the herd and find peace, healing and hope. We are planning another outreach and need funds to buy the medical supplies and feed. We help 90 children and 40 women every month. We see 60 to 70 horses on each outreach and ensure each one has what it needs and the owner is educated in proper care, feeding and riding. We have made a difference and saved many lives, both horse and human .

Founded 9 years ago, to care for so-called gutter cats or feral cats as commonly known. We trap neuter and return these cats, care for them medically, feeding, etc. During covid we found that less fortunate owners cant afford to spay their pets and contributing to the numerous unwanted litters all destined to be part of this circle. We spay and neuter at least 60 animals per month and care for them. We are proud of what we stand for in Animal Welfare, combatting animal abuse and cruelty by stopping numerous unwanted pets .
The Mark Jeneker Foundation has been offering free Art and Craft education to the children and youth of the community of Mitchells Plain, Cape Town since 2017. Our classes provide a safe space for education, expression and Life Skills coaching. The Foundation also trains youth and provides economic opportunity and support for them to become Community Art Facilitator Teachers through the Art Learnership Programme, providing capacity building, efficacy and sustainability growth of the works of the organisation. We are currently building our Art hub at Portland Primary School in Mitchells Plain and are seeking donations for art supplies and food for the after school programme.
Angels Baby Sanctuary is a home for abandoned babies. We take care of babies from birth until such time as they get adopted or re-united with their families. We currently have 12 babies and 11 full time staff. The home is run on donations from the public and we are committed to ensure that the babies placed with us are loved in a safe environment. We ensure that their development milestones are met and see to all their needs, medical, therapy, doctors, and schooling. At Angels we believe that no one should ever feel un-loved.
Ihata Care Group comprises of 3 elder care facilities, a shelter for abused women and children and a child protection center for adolescent girls and young women. Ihata Shelter for Abused women and children is based in the heart of the Cape Flats. We offer shelter and sanctuary as well as programs to educate, uplift and empower vulnerable women. The Ihata Care Group elder care homes focus on frail care residents, we provide extensive care and therapeutic care. Ihata Care Group Child Protection Centre focuses on adolescent girls and young women. We provide various opportunities for the residents in our care and a safe place to stay.
Abraham Kriel Children’s Home is a haven for 170 children who were placed by a court order in the care of the children’s home, due to different kinds of abuse. We provide for the needs of these children and we try to help each child to develop to their full potential. State subsidy covers only 30% of expenses. State subsidy does not keep up with inflation. Food price rise The needs of children become greater Fuel prices, toll fees, school fees, and other household expenses have doubled in the last few years. Unforeseen expenses occur regularly. We must emphasize that we only concentrate on necessities and that luxuries are not an option.

Eyes2Eyes is a registered non profit working to prevent blindness. Our mission is to assist young public health patients with preventable corneal blindness, with life changing sight restoration. Patients are referred to us from the Groote Schuur Hospital Cornea Clinic, the George Hospital and the Discount Vision Clinic in Port Elizabeth. We fund highly technical lenses to treat advanced cases of keratoconus. Public hospitals do not fund these lenses. Without our help, these patients are sent home to live a life with unnecessary blindness. Keratoconus starts in the teenage years. It's critical to treat these patients before their education, mental health & personal development is impacted.

African Angels provides a quality primary school education for children from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We are located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, just 40km outside East London. In the absence of any other affordable, quality education being provided by the State, the African Angels Independent School is a beacon of hope for the 156 children who attend school each day. The school provides well equipped classrooms, qualified and experienced teachers, a properly applied curriculum, safe, homely hostels as well as porridge for breakfast and a hot lunch for each child every day. PROJECT ID is an ongoing program that helps homeless and displaced people with the facilitation of shelter, IDs, skills training and entrepreneurship opportunities. We are aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. While our primary focus is mainly on SDG 16 (providing ID replacements), our activities also integrate SDG 1, 2 and 8 through partnerships (SDG 17). Since it's inception in 2019, over 450 people have been assisted. The goal is to assist 200 more people before the end of 2023.

We all know that Hurt people Hurt people, so logic dictates that if we can help cure the hurt, we will be able to prevent hurt people from hurting people. MatrixMen is launching the Everyone Needs Ten. We believe that if everyone attends at least ten therapy sessions they will be far better people. The problem is that therapy costs a lot, and the men that need it most cannot afford it. Graskop animals in need is an animal shelter that rescues, rehabilitates and re homes animals. We work in the disadvantaged areas of our community and have a feeding scheme and sterilization campaign. Due to a 70% unemployment rate in Graskop, donations are basically non existent, to sustain the shelter. Our sim this coming year is to acquire a large piece of land where a Graskop Town Shelter can be built.
San Michele Home serves the whole community by providing an essential non-denominational home for intellectually & physically disabled people. The home provides professional care as well as a family environment. SMH opened it’s doors for the first time in 1945, caring for 6 ex-servicemen's intellectually disabled children. Today, 78 years later, we are proud to be able to provide a home for more than 220 permanent residents who are intellectually disabled. San Michele is a registered Non-Profit Organization — NPO no: 001/033 NPO, Fund Raising No FIR 01-100221-000-7. SMH is licensed to cater for patients from the age of 18 and older. Most of our patients stay at San Michele for life.

Our team of volunteers visit rural communities outside Hoedspruit each month and offer free veterinary care and education on animal welfare, there are no veterinary facilities in these communities. Volunteers vaccinate dogs to prevent common canine diseases from being transmitted to wildlife in adjacent reserves. HALO's goal is to sterilise and vaccinate the majority of the dog population. We are currently building a holding facility in one of the rural communities where dogs can recover from illness and injury and have employed two local people to work full-time caring for the dogs. Funding received from grants and donations is allocated 100% for the care of the dogs.
The Cornal Hendricks Foundation (CHF) are a nonprofit organization who aims to help raise every child who we come in contact within South Africa to become the best version of themselves through education, training, and coaching. The CHF would like to be able to provide bursaries for young people toward their studies and provide sport equipment for sportsmen and women who will be competing on school provincial level. He wants them to experience that there are people who still love and care for them and who believe in them to reach their dreams and live their potential.
Bully prevention program for Early childhood centers. Violence and violent crime are significant social problems in South Africa. Our program encourages a developmental approach to violence prevention by promoting healthy physical and social development and preventing direct and indirect exposure to violence during early childhood. Addressing the determinants of violence from birth offers an exciting new way to influence the life path of at-risk individuals so that they will be less likely to be future victims or perpetrators of violence.
Building started in 2019 and the steel frame and roof erected with a clear plan and adequate funding. The Barn would become a safe space to house our special needs animals, offer facilities to generate funding for the Sanctuary, provide accommodation for visitors/volunteers/staff, and serve as a hub for our outreach programs with office and training space to facilitate this. Once started, however, COVID struck the globe. The price of steel trebled and we used our entire budget to finish the steel frame and roof. The project was halted so that the Sanctuary could weather lockdown as resources were redirected towards animal care and day to day.
According to the IOM child trafficking is a reality in Tanzania and that children are trafficked especially within the country, from one district to another and from rural villages to urban areas also from other countries to Tanzania either as the destination point or in transit. The victims of internal trafficking reportedly include girls and boys between 10 and 17 years old, who are trafficked from rural to urban areas for domestic labour or child prostitution. Trafficking of children in domestic labour, continues and is being sustained by poverty coupled with parental sickness and deaths, caregivers allow children to go to urban centers to work as house keepers
Cupcakes Of Hope raises funds for children diagnosed with cancer, they do this through their love of baking and enjoying cupcakes. Volunteers are invited to become Cupcake Angels and 'bake a difference' and host fundraisers at work, their church or child's school. Cupcake of HOPE assist more than 200 patients every month by paying for their medical and other day-to-day needs like nutritional food and nappies to wheelchairs, crutches and prosthetics. This year more than 2500 Educational Activity Care Packs have been delivered to all 20 pediatric oncology wards across South Africa. Your support will mean that Cupcakes of Hope will be able to assist even more children in 2024.
Sonstraal Early Childhood Development center is based in Van Wyksdorp, we are situated in one of the poorest communities in the Southern Cape. Although we try to gather funds through functions, all our parents can't afford it. Sonstraal ECD is based on a Christian basis and no student will be denied. All children from the age of two to five years will be accepted. Sonstraal ECD and programs play an important role in early prevention which is addressing social problems in the early stages as well as the development of young children. Umoya Khulula Wildlife Centre is a non-profit rehabilitation facility situated in Limpopo, South Africa. Dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of local wildlife that have been orphaned, injured, displaced, or confiscated from the illegal trade. Established in 2018, we are known for are high standards of welfare and rehabilitation. The Centre supports numerous animals at any given time, many of which are victims of human-wildlife conflict, poaching and other illegal wildlife activities. Our staff work to ensure that each animal is given exactly what they need to safely get back to being released back into the wild – where they belong.
